
Alexandra Rose Raisman was born on the 25th of May, 1994. She retired as an American artistic gymnast. She was the captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five", and in 2016 the "Final Five,"" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. She won a team gold medal during the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans to have back-to-back gold medals from this event. Raisman received silver medals in the individual all-around and floor exercise. Raisman also received silver medals in the individual all around and for floor exercise. She was also two-time national champion in the floor exercise (2012 in 2012 and 2015) and the 2012 champion of the national team on the balance beam and five times a medalist in the all-around section at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2010, 2011 and in 2015). She was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in the year 2013.
