Ana Paula Oliveira bio

Ana Paula Oliveira was born on May 26, 1978, at Campinas Sao Paulo, Brazil. Woman on Top (2000), Sem Fio (2009) as well as A Indomada (1997) are among her best-known films. Ana Paula Oliveira became a participant in the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC) in March 2020. She manages the Assassination Witness Project, and is a key member of the multilateral GI-TOC engagement. The GI-TOC's research activities is focused on disappearances, assassinations and other forms of violence in the context of illicit economies. The research area she is interested in is the effect of organized criminality on law, policy and legislation relating in relation to human rights. Ana Paula has an LL.M. Cum laude (with the highest distinction) of honors in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva. She also has the LL.M in Public Law and an MBA in International Relations from Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro. Ana Paula has a bachelor degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She is a licensed lawyer working at an attorney firm that specialized in public law litigation for over four years. Her previous experiences included helping in roles with non-governmental organisations that are headquartered within Rio de Janeiro and Geneva.
