Anamaria Martinca is an actress from Romania. She made her debut on the huge screen in Sex Traffic by Channel 4, for which the British Academy Television Award was awarded to the best actress. The actress speaks French, German, English and Romanian fluently. Her mother was a violinist The father of her is a theater professor in one of Romania's best acting schools. In 2000, the young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as an European Shooting Star. In 2007, she was in on the Romanian movie 4 luni 3 semaines si2 (4 months, 3 weeks, and 2 Days) 4 months 3 weeks 2 days, directed composed by Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days). The film won two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Additionally, she was an infant in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. She played Yasim Awar in BBC's 5-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca played the role of Yasim Anwar in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, and also the Romanian film Boogie. The actress later played a significant part in the film Fury in which she portrayed an German woman who was named Irma the aunt of Emma.
