Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor who is famous for his role on the popular television show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. Since his college days, Meloni was interested in the field of acting. After that, he attended his home institution, the University of Colorado at Boulder. He's appeared in the television and film industry, but it was his small-screen characters that brought him fame and an enormous fan base. This is not surprising since the actor has managed to grab the attention of viewers by playing characters that are either side of the law. When he first appeared on television, for his debut production, he played a serial murderer. Later he portrayed the role of an NYPD investigator. In recognition of his performance in the small screen, he's been up for nomination numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. His piercing blue eyes his face have been deemed as the most captivating characteristic. They have been utilized for portraying rough characters, and give them charisma. He was named in People's magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
